I am Just a Girl

I was once a beautiful fairy
But all I wanted was a life less ordinary
So God chose a Mother
But there was also a Father who did not want me..
I was yet to form a shape and they bid adieu to me
After all I was a GIRL !

Someplace else there was another me..
A different Father and a Mummy..
I flew into the high skies...
Waiting over the horizon was a Light
But the daunting battle of Dowry was my fight
The battles are lost and the lights have faded
I now languish in the chateau of the dead
Did they say "She was just a GIRL!"

I ruled the countries far and wide
I also tried to swim over the tide
But the waves were mightier ...
They could not contain a stronger me ...
I perished in the aftermath of my sexuality
After all I was just a GIRL!

I somehow fought the Fates and grew to Live
There seemed to be nothing in life but to Give
I always wanted to stand with my head held high
But then stoop I must or else fall prey to their lust
These are the facts of life which make my head twirl
I am just a GIRL!!!
