A MOMENT IN TIME

Everywhere there was a scented bloom
It was the flavour of your love I assume
Hidden from the world in our own paradise
There was me and your presence in disguise
Those were the days of eternal bliss
Your love transcended me to an abyss
The strength of our love could never erode
We were meant to be was the choral ode
Watching the flames in a sombre mood
A witness in time stood the Banyan across the road

Love and the pain of separation
Palpable thoughts of a union
Come winters and summers go
Leave me with the presence of your soul
The gentle sway of your beauty
Stems from the softness of the Almighty
Standing at a parallel distance in his abode
There is that Banyan across the road
